Password Page
Customize the landing page that visitors see when your storefront is locked.
The Password page (password.json) is the first impression customers have of your store before it officially launches. SAISON provides a highly customizable password page that allows you to collect emails and build hype.
Setting Up the Password Page
Enable the Password Page
Go to your Shopify Admin and navigate to Online Store > Preferences. Scroll down to the Password protection section, check "Restrict access to visitors with the password", and enter a password.
Edit the Password Template
In the Theme Editor, use the top dropdown menu and select Password.
Customize the Content
The password template typically includes a Header, an Email Signup section, and a Footer. Click on these sections in the sidebar to add your logo, change the "Opening Soon" text, and configure your newsletter form.
Message for your visitors: The text you enter in Shopify Admin (Online Store > Preferences > Message for your visitors) will automatically appear on the SAISON password page.
Key Settings
| Setting | Location | Recommended | Notes |

Common Mistakes
- Forgetting to test mobile: The password page is often a single full-screen experience. Ensure your background image and logo look good on mobile devices.
- Not collecting emails: The pre-launch phase is the best time to build a mailing list. Always ensure the newsletter block is enabled.
- Confusing store login with customer login: The password page is for store access. It is entirely separate from Customer Accounts.
