Install SAISON

Upload SAISON to Shopify, preview it safely, and prepare the theme for editing before you publish.

Estimated time: 5-10 minutesRequires Shopify admin accessDo before customization

Use this guide when you have the SAISON theme package and want to add it to a Shopify store. Installation does not publish the theme automatically. You can upload, preview, and customize SAISON before customers see it.

Before You Start

  • Confirm you have the SAISON theme zip file.
  • Log in to the correct Shopify store as a user with theme access.
  • Back up the current live theme before publishing a new one.
  • Keep product media, collections, navigation menus, and policies ready if you want to customize immediately.
  • Use a modern browser and avoid editing the theme in multiple tabs at once.
Warning

Do not unzip the theme package before uploading it to Shopify. Shopify expects a theme zip file.

Upload The Theme

1

Open the theme library

In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes. The current live theme appears at the top and unpublished themes appear in the theme library.

2

Add the SAISON zip file

In the theme library, choose Add theme, then upload the SAISON zip file. Shopify will process the theme and add it as an unpublished theme.

3

Preview before editing

Open the theme actions menu for SAISON and choose Preview. Confirm the storefront loads before you make changes.

4

Customize the unpublished theme

Choose Customize to open the Shopify theme editor. Start with theme settings, then build the homepage, product page, and collection page.

5

Publish only after testing

Publish SAISON after checking navigation, product variants, cart behavior, checkout entry points, mobile layout, and core pages.
